About this Advisor

My team develops and implements customized solutions for business owners, families and individuals with the goal of protecting and growing wealth for the current and future generations.

Over the last 30 years I have assisted my clients through major life transitions, complex economic developments, unexpected life events, and many successful endeavors.  Through insights gained from experience, education and intensive study, my team and I have developed a disciplined process that focuses on protection of assets and conservatively growing wealth over time.

I currently serve on the board of Friends International U.S., and am past president of United Way of Jackson County and North Medford Rotary.  In my off time I enjoy watercolor painting.  My husband, Mark Johnson, is a retired Marine and also served as Branch Manager of the Wilmington, NC, Morgan Stanley office for many years.

My practice is built on the following core beliefs:

No two people, families or businesses are alike.

Gaining a clear understanding of each client as an individual and as an investor is my first priority before we do anything else.

If you don’t know where you are going, you will end up somewhere else. (Yogi Berra)

Helping clients progress from a general idea of their needs for today and their desires for tomorrow to well-defined goals and an action plan is an indispensible ingredient in our process. Once a personalized plan is in place, we will monitor and adjust it to accommodate any significant life changes.  Periodic reviews are vital to successful outcomes.

No one knows your life better than you.

I encourage my clients’ active and on-going participation in the process of developing and implementing their plan. The more they tell me about their financial needs, aspirations, resources, tax issues and life developments, the more effective we can be working together to accomplish their goals.

Plan ahead or find trouble on the doorstep (Confucius)

Having defined goals, I work closely with my clients to put in place strategies to help protect them and their loved ones from unanticipated events (e.g. death, disability, critical illness) that could threaten their financial security.

What goes down must come all the way back up.

I firmly believe that an investment plan most likely to achieve a client’s goals must include careful, client-specific diversification and objective buy and sell disciplines.  Few things can derail a financial plan more rapidly than the time and money wasted earning back what was lost in the last bear market.

It takes a village.

It takes a team to provide top-quality care and service to those who have entrusted us with their financial security.  Our team includes a Registered Client Service Associate; a computer specialist; investment, accounting and estate planning specialists; and security research analysts.
